When you are thinking and not making progress with your business, you have a huge problem. when you are going to think and think how to solve your problems, you keep thinking in problems.

You have to set your goals, what do you want with your business?, how much do you need to reach your goals? Write it down on a list, mostly you think it will not be possible to reach extreme goals. You’re right, you will not reach them. That’s why it’s so important to set your goals, when you do 50% you will be happy. People without goals, go every day to their jobs and pay the bills, is that your goal?

Focus every day on your goals, when you do that, you will see, you will reach your goals. The smaller your goals are, because you think you can’t reach them anyway. The worse it becomes for you!

me: It’s still a hobby! Sorry, we only help companies!

How do you get experience in sales? To do it everyday!

A lot of people like school and think they can learn the sales profession in school or University. NOT!  no


You can get some basics, but you don’t learn how to handle the magic word: NO!

That’s the most difficult part in sales, people say no, when they say no, you have to sell it better and see to convince the client, that they buy from you. They will say everything to get rid of you:

1. we come back tomorrow! hahahaha

2. we have to think about it!

3. we have to discuss with the accountant

etc. etc.

All these challenges you will learn when you really are going in to the real sales, with real people. rijtjes huisSatisfied people you know them, they know everything so good, they never take risks, they work all their live at one company, the owner get rich, he gets a pension of 500 dollar. They’re always talking about entrepreneurs who failed, but they never look at the success stories, because that’s to painful!

Oh you’re so satisfied with your little house, so nice, no worries, no risk, yes you are very save! But every month you got less sales! You make less money, you are maybe to lose your safe haven! Oh my God, your little tiny house on a auction! that would be terrible, there goes your safe haven!

When you’re afraid to lose your tiny house, you will lose it!

If you want more in live you have to higher your living standards, even it is almost not possible!, because that will give you the power to sell more. You have to focus on what you want, not want you have already. Because the real master in sales are not satisfied, they have always their goals, a villa at the ocean, a 120 ft yacht, a Rolls, you name it. I don’t know entrepreneurs who lived in a tiny house and get bankrupt, that will be stupid, when you get bankrupt, you must have lived in a villa, then you can look back and have fun! But when you go for it, you will win the game, always! If you don’t higher your standards, your competition will do it and you get nothing, because he gets all the sales!

The most important thing is that you never give up. A master in sales knows that, he will get always his sales. A master in sales has the confidence. Why? because he knows the market and he calls a lot with new customers or visit them, he knows that he will always sell! Only every week and every day is different in sales. Also the sales doesn’t exist on 1 day or on 1 week. Learn form you mistakes, but keep doing. Master sales people know that, because it is all the numbers. You have always to believe in yourself and your business. When you don’t, you will lose. Losing is total different against failing, because when you don’t fail in sales, you do to little. Salespeople who tell me they never fail, are liars! Of course you fail in sales. There is competition, there are other good salespeople, you can be too late. You have to go for it. But when you have 100 calls a day or 20 visits a day, you will sell a lot, that’s the spirit of a master in sales.

Difference between fail and lose A salesguy who fails everyday is selling everyday, when you visit, or call, whatever! Just how you make your sales.  You will fail again and again.

A loser is a “salesguy”who is losing everyday, because he don’t try, he makes fake visits, he has always excuses why he will not make that sales call now. The product is not good enough, we need to have better service, I have done a research etc etc, excuses, excuses and no sales!  He has all excuses about the price, about the product, about the competition and he can tell you exactly the prices of the competition and the reason why people buy not from him. THAT’s a loser!

There was a salesman of 50 years an no job, what now? Take the mindset of an entrepreneur!

Only nobody hires you. Whatever you do, you don’t get a job. What will be the reason you think? Your sales experience? your persistence? your references? or is it your age? They don’t tell you, but that’s the main reason, you’re to old!! STOP with getting a job, start on your own!

For years you have been successful in sales, never started your own company because you made a good salary and get always high commissions. Why should you? That where your thoughts. Now you’re on your own. you have to take a decision. The same as your clients have to do, take a decision. Take a decision is always better, then no decision.

When you have been a successful salesman, you will be also a successful entrepreneur. The most start ups are not done by sales people, but by tech people or inventors. Salespeople can have a successful business, because they can sell. So with your sales experience, you can sell yourself to everybody. Start on commission. Call your company by your own name.

Start Selling yourself Now! Where to start?, go first to the chamber of commerce and start your company, when you get out there, you go immediately to the companies you would like to sell for. Make them a commission proposal, negotiate about it and start selling. It is as easy as I told you. Think and do like an entrepreneur. You don’t have to make it complicated, every company need sales. Just go for it and do it. While you ‘re making money you’re active again and you will be thinking also creative again.

Selling by story telling

Everybody has the memories of his mother or father, who tells them a story before you went to bed. You believed them! That’s what you can use in your sales. You must understand it of course how to tell the best story to your client. By example when you have had an easy client, who immediately ordered by you because he could tell you why he bought it from you.

Explain the client what will happen or not happen when they buy from you. With your experience of some clients you have to tell them your business in a good story, when you sell by example “security products”, you tell the client what happened last week with a client off you!

That the client have been robbed, you don’t want to tell what happened with his wife, because, that’s to private( what do you think, what your client is thinking now? clients’s thoughts: ” oh my God, this will never happen to my wife, I must order this!), he got beaten and lost a lot of money! and that because he had no security. SOLD!

When you tell the story it must be very real, people must believe you, you must be authentic and no acting job! All the stories about closing and decisions are total nonsense if you just can bring the client in the state of your story about your business. See it when you’re in a movie theater, you are almost in the movie by yourself.

Get the client in your real story and he will buy

That’s so important that you tell the story very good. No nonsense, just the truth. When they like your real story they will recognize them-selves in the story and they will ask you: “When can you deliver?”

With the real good story of you selling experience with other clients, you will get every week a new story. The newer the story, the better, because it is actual, no old stories, but what’s happening now!

Don’t close, the client will close after your story!

Always Be Closing

20150719_200249Tonight we where at the barbecue restaurant on the beach. We had some fun and met new people. While we where chatting about all things, the guy was interested in what I do, he asked me. I knew he sold his company and was complaining about bad investments. We talked about all kind of investments and I told him I will send him some interesting investments. I just mailed him and he mailed me back, can we talk tomorrow, yes of course!

Is this hard work?

Was this difficult?

This is just fun!

That’s the most important in life, like what you do and it is now work but fun!

In the meanwhile, you have to think about all the things you have for sale, you will see that you make your best sales in a relaxing way, like a diner in a restaurant.

So Salespeople, remember! You can always sell, Always!

About the Master himself

Hi! I’m happy you’re reading my book! Because you know that’s time for you to become a better sales person, or even become a Master in Sales. I’m now 52 years old and I have been in sales from my 12th year. People say you’re a natural born seller, but that’s nonsense, because you came not out of your mother as a salesman and ask the people standing around your mother’s bed by coming out of your mother with the mother candy in hand:

“do you want to buy this?!”

Nice joke, but of course not. You must like sales, people who like to sell are people who have no attitude, they just sell. They don’t care if somebody say:


So what!  Next client, that’s a masters attitude, just go for it. Just as long you get a sale. That’s what’s all about. Sell yourself, sell your product, sell your company, just sell, sell, sell. Whole life is about sales. I knew that whole my life, that’s why I have been in business from my 18e year. Always got my own businesses. Better to get a penny from myself then 1 dollar from a boss. And what I sell, all profit is for me. I want to sell, because I want to make money. I want it all. I have my goals, always.

I started in the company off my dad and later start my own company. Just selling airconditioners and aircleaners for bars and restaurants. Door to door. I knock the door and give them the problem, make their problem bigger. Then I sold them my solution, they can save energy a lot, they get more customers, will be better for their employees and the will live longer, because all the dirt air in a bar or restaurant they will die minimal 10  years earlier than normal people. I wrote immediately an order, when they told me I have no money, I told them you will make money with this! A lot! You don’t have to pay cash, 99% of our clients take a lease contract. You get all service and everything is included, new filters, guarantee and every three years you get a new machine!

So every sales is on helping the people making money and solving problems, you must be  200% convinced, then you can sell it.

After I wrote the order, I ask them, can you sign here. Sometimes they told me they want to think about it. I told them then you’re not convinced!!! Oh yes I am, but I want to talk with my accountant! About what I asked them? About the decision.  I laughed a bit and I ask them, but this is your business, your accountant is only for the financials, you’re the boss! I think you want to discuss with him what’s  best cash or lease? Client: yes! Oh I say, that’s simple, you take the lease first and when your accountant wants to buy it cash you can do that every month in the first year interest free, I write it down here. Please sign here! 100% people signed the contract, because they don’t want to be a fool who not can make his own decisions!

So who is the Master in me? I am just a guy, I am 52 but feel myself as a guy, no grey hairs J I know that’s the best way to live, do what you like, be free and make a lot of money. Making a lot of money is important for yourself, driving a big fat car is better then go by train, have a boat, live at the ocean, buy everything for your wife, family, your kids, it gives so much pleasure1 when I make a lot of money, I can spend it very easy, i am an easy buyer. I made a test ride in a Porsche Cayenne, nice car, drive good. The sales guy told me, you have to try the Cayenne Turbo, is only 1000 dollars monthly more! I tried the Turbo and what do you think? Yes, I was sold. That’s sales to! don’t be arrogant, don’t judge people just ask and listen and sell, just sell!

Been there, done it all. I have bought a lot of real estate portfolios of millions without any cash, just sold myself, that money was not the issue! And when I had the contracts, I sold it within  weeks for a big profit of millions. That’s the way, When you buy something expensive, you have to sell yourself, when you sell it you will be in the same role. It is all about selling. I always make the decision about houses, cars and yachts, to high, I just can pay them, but because I do this, I have to make money. When I keep myself in the comfort zone and rent or buy a cheap house I will get lazy! This is goal setting!

I set always my goals far too high!

Poverty is nothing, I’ve been there. I don’t like it, I hate it. I get grumpy with poverty. I have been in air-conditioning, real estate, franchise, capital raise, financial structures, sales training, coaching, wrote already 3 books, my first book was a bestseller, more than 500.000 books sold! Live where you want, become free!

I live now in the Caribbean, people asked me, but how are you going to make money? I laugh about that, in these days you can live everywhere, if you can sell yourself! You can build a professional website for 200 dollars, use active social media,  and start selling! Everybody can do that. The most people will not do that, because they have not enough confidence in themselves. That’s what I learn people in Master is Sales in 1 day!

I’m from the Netherlands and lived all my life in the Netherlands, between the years I’ve lived in Spain, I had a franchise for realtors over there. I’ve live in Bonaire when I was 30, I sold my first company and was the youngest pensionado on Bonaire. No taxes. You must understand you have in the Netherlands 60% and still people are afraid to move to a country with lower taxes. Till 2000 a lot was deductible from taxes, but after 2000 and especially 2008, everything gets terrible, the government off the Netherlands spends to many money on people who don’t want to work. The get free money and the entrepreneurs, has to pay taxes till almost 70%. When you get a big crises, and have to pay 70%, you have problem. I am a free guy so now I do it offshore and pay only for the things I buy or use, that’s the way!
